why laying on hands and not crafted gloves with IAS and other goodies like life/mana steal ??

When it comes to crafting, D2 could be a lot better if there were special reagents that improved crafting odds of good affixes that dropped from optional caves and dungeons that normally see no play at all. I like the idea that in a play through of a game, its worth going everywhere you can.

Late to the party here, but two things come to mind. Saying it's server side is sort of redundant. While hosting you are the server so technically the game itself also knows that this is happening. Somebody simply decided to not display it anywhere. Secondly I don't really see this having any sort of relevance in targeted farming, say doing meph or baal runs due to the setup time, but if you assemble a large group and then split up with one player or two finding and triggering the ghosts while the others line up TP's to different bosses it might be worth it. Like run (terrorized boss + mephisto + pindleskin (and other easy to access bosses) and finish off with baal then maybe. This is assuming I still remember correctly and the only MF that counts for drops is the finishing blow. The person with ghosted MF can just swoop in and take the final hit. Will require a party were many people have decent gear though to handle traversing areas with players 5 or 7 with ease.

For Rune drops. Are they considered magic or do they just drop random ?

It sounds so cool what they thought for Kurast jungle. Maybe it wouldn't have been as good of an experience after a moment, but it does sound so exciting. Just to not really know where you are and where you should go and ambushes and clearing the jungle and whatnot. Like a real hands on adventuring. But it might not fit the rest of the game as well. It's pretty god damn fantastic and incredible that Diablo 2 Remastered became a thing, the way he described the effort it requires to put together.

If you don’t want to shave it all off you need to get Shades EQ and tone with like a 6T

implementation of runeword system is i think not that good. When i make an arpg i wanna have runework smith npc where you can inprint that runes to your items but any item. So rather than fight with slot they gonna be enchanting. Basically like d4 aspect system. It just works good.

Hey Llama, it would be great if you would do some D2 Runs with a controller. I know it's not your jam but it would be a nice challenge and some new content for your channel. It gave me a new way to play D2 and i must admit, i was a keyboard warrior but i found that controller was actually quite good.

Dueling is the best part of d2 and jsp gets me the specific gear I need for my build wo it id have no chance of getting specific equipment and inventory Id need to be competitive

Great video. You explain the problems with D2JSP well. I agree. However, your solution wouldn't work. This is because those who are already accustomed to using D2JSP wouldn't completely switch over to a new in-game trading platform; even if Blizzard were to implement one. They might trade on it, but come new ladder they'd be back in D2JSP for that start-of-the-ladder power boost anyway. And then they'd continue trading there to make sure their next ladder experience would be "smoother" as well. What I'm saying is this: it is too late to implement the fix you're suggesting (even though it is a good idea). It simply isn't worth it to do it for such an old game. A new game with a built-in trading solution is required.

I love that he actually lurks in there. And I can totally see how nobody would pay attention to the real dev, it's so unfathomable that he would be just a normal person if he was part of such an iconic game. It's pretty nuts that back in the day one guy could've done so much design on the game, today there would be a whole team for a single feature. And he was an artist when he started! Albeit he had so much understanding of the mechanics from childhood already.

I HATE getting a perfect map in SP and farming it for maybe 500 runs and then accidently clicking on nightmare and loosing the map.

I like of the idea of crafted sets where you only have a rough idea of the base modifiers and then when linking together, you get additional modifiers from a pool of potential ones. This only works in a game where crafted sets are the only top equipment though.
